Our philosophy

Designed to help you stay close.
Not to keep you scrolling.

Most people want to show up for their friends. They just don't have the right tool for it.

The tools you have aren't helping.

Not your friends.

On Instagram, four minutes of every hour go to your friends. On Facebook, ten. The rest goes to strangers.1

Addictive by design.

Social feeds are tuned for time on screen, not for friendship.2

Always on.

The group chat runs while you work or sleep. Catching up turns into homework.

Always shallow.

Group chats run on quick reactions and small talk. Rarely the real stories.

So we built DearAll.

A monthly email catch-up
for your circle.

It asks for your attention three times a month. That's it:

1

Propose

Everyone drops in a question. Or we suggest a few.

2

Answer

Everyone writes back, whenever it suits them.

3

Read

One edition lands in every inbox. No app needed.

What we believe.

Decades of research point the same way: close friendships are what make people happy. Almost nothing you use every day is built to protect them.3, 4

DearAll is.

  1. You're the customer, not the product.

One member pays €3.50 a month. That is our whole business model. No ads, no data to sell, no one else to please.

  2. A circle, not an audience.

An audience makes you perform. A circle lets you talk. Fifteen people at most, no followers, no likes to count. Nothing to curate, no one to impress.

  3. Your attention belongs to your friends.

Social media asks for your attention all day, then hands it to strangers. Hours go by, and no one you love is any closer. DearAll asks for a few moments a month. All of them go to your circle.

  4. Depth beats frequency.

A hundred quick reactions don't add up to one honest answer. “How is work, really?” once a month beats a thumbs-up every day.

  5. You write, you don't scroll.

A feed makes you a spectator: an algorithm picks, you consume. DearAll only works if you write. A few honest lines, in your own time. Then you read what your friends wrote back.

  6. Yours to keep. Not ours.

Your answers are not our asset. They are stored in Europe and deleted for good two months after each edition. The email in your inbox stays. That one is yours.

  7. Less, but better.

Most apps compete by adding: more features, more settings, more reasons to open them. We compete by leaving things out. One catch-up a month. No settings, nothing to install, nothing to keep up with.

Staying close takes work.
We built DearAll to make it easier.
